American Airlines "Engine"
After the tragedy of 9/11, American Airlines wanted to run TV but were at a loss as to what to say. In fact, they said they would love for us come up with some spots, but didn't think we could. It was delicate. But as with all my clients, I'm passionate and protective of them. So over the weekend, I came up with the script for this. Shared it with my art director partner and creative director. It went all the way to the top of American Airlines for approval. They loved it. Note, this is the first and only time American Airlines allowed us to drop off "Airlines" from their logo at the end. Using "American" on its own was how it needed to end. They agreed. Michaels Arts & Crafts "My World"
We re-branded Michaels to a fresh look and tone. Since Michaels is all about hand-crafting arts, we decided to create an entire world from only products you could purchase at Michaels. Even the copy was written in poem form to keep with the crafted tone. This spot was completely done with stop motion photography. The last scene took 16 hours to complete. It was amazing!
